He founded Grupo Taos, a company that operates pet stores and amusement parks, in 1980, and still serves as the President of the Board and General Director. He now owns and operates Mexico's largest sports betting company, Grupo Caliente, which he started after moving to Tijuana in 1985. His company includes a dog racing track, a hotel, a mall and entertainment centers in 19 states across Mexico, as well as locations in Central America, South America and Europe.
